Taking Angels Blog Tour: Interview with C.S. Yelle

Today we're joining the TAKING ANGELS blog tour by chatting with author CS Yelle. Let's get to know more about him and his upper YA paranormal novel.

Hi and welcome to We Do Write. Tell us a bit about yourself.

I’m a 50 year old chemist who loves to write, read, and watch movies. I am happily married and have four grown children and a granddaughter. I love stories that take me away from our everyday life and transport us into a world filled with mystery and wonder.

How long have you been writing?

I started my first novel in 1987 but took an 11 year break and have been back at it since 1998.

Tell us about TAKING ANGELS. What’s the story about?

Britt Anderson’s long struggle with cancer is at an end. Not willing to let cancer dictate the way she would leave this world, Britt opts to end her life by taking a plunge over a waterfall in the Boundary Waters Canoe area in remote Northern Minnesota.

But as she slips into the current, she realizes she doesn’t want to give up, but wants to fight. Her change of heart comes too late and she plummets to her death and the end…or so she believes.

She never foresaw the presence or even the existence of a supernatural being at the base of those waterfalls that brings her back. The only problem is that now her very existence endangers her friends, family, and the very being that saved her.

Wow, interesting! How did the idea of the story come to you?

After reading a popular Paranormal Romance I felt wanting for a better story, a better, stronger main character, and a more adventurous ride.

Are you a plotter or a pantser?

A panster all the way. I let the story take the lead.

What’s the hardest part of writing for you?

Finding the time to actually sit down and put the story “on paper”.

Right? What do you absolutely have to have nearby when writing?

Starbucks Doubleshot Energy Drink – Mocha

If you could have any super power, what would it be?

Teleportation. The thought of moving anywhere in an instant is awesome!

It certainly would help with that darn time problem. What's the weirdest thing you've googled?

Navy Seal Training

Finish this sentence: If I'm not writing, I'm probably ...

Doing projects around the house thinking about writing.

And finally, where can people find you and your book online?
