Released Blog Tour: Interview with Jus Accardo

Today we're joining the RELEASED blog tour by chatting with author Jus Accardo. Sit back and get to know all about Jus and her books.
Jus Accardo is the author of YA paranormal romance and urban fantasy fiction. A native New Yorker, she lives in the middle of nowhere with her husband, three dogs, and sometimes guard bear, Oswald. When not writing, Jus can be found volunteering at the local animal shelter or indulging her passion for food. After being accepted to the Culinary Institute of America, she passed on the spot to pursue a career in writing and has never looked back. As far as she’s concerned, she has the coolest job on earth—making stuff up for a living.

Hi, Jus! Welcome to We Do Write.
*waves* Thanks for having me!
Tell our readers a bit about RELEASED.
Released is the final book in the Eternal Balance series. It’s a spin on the story of Cain and Abel. I won’t say too much in case some people aren’t caught up with the series, but in the last book, we see everything that’s happened over the last month come to a head. Everything is at risk for Jax and Sam—and I loved writing every minute ;) Right from day one I knew how I wanted this series to end, and am thrilled to have had the opportunity to follow it through! I hope everyone will be as happy with how things turned out as I was.
Sounds awesome. How did the idea of the story come to you?
The basis for the series came after a conversation with a friend about the story of Cain and Abel.
Are you a plotter or a pantser?
I used to be hardcore panster, but one of my more recent books had a very complicated world and required a lot of intricate world building. I think now, after that, I fall someplace in the middle.
What’s the hardest part of writing for you?
It changes from book to book. Sometimes getting the story out is easy, and editing is hard. Sometimes it’s the other way around.
What do you absolutely have to have nearby when writing?
Coffee! Furry, snoring foot warmers don’t hurt, either.
Ooh, I'll have to look into those. If you could have any super power, what would it be?
I think I’d love to have the ability to teleport. I’m a horrible traveler. To be able to snap my fingers, blink my eyes—whatever—and just BE there…that’d be epic!
I hear you. I'm a horrible traveler too. That would certainly help. What's the weirdest thing you've googled?
Hmm. I’ve searched for everything from weird foods (which may not sound really bad, but try it. Just once. I dare you) to the embalming process.
Finish this sentence: If I'm not writing, I'm probably ...
Either baking, hiking with my dogs, or playing World of Warcraft
Here’s the part where you thank the people who are supporting you. Let's hear your shout outs.
A huge thank you to everyone who’s picked up one of my books. Your time is precious, and there are limitless options in the book world. Thank you for spending some time with mine! I wish I could hug every single one of you! :D
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog!
Thanks so much for having me!
