For my post, I'm featuring a playlist of songs that I imaging portray the spirit of my book, Crimson Mage—as well as the entire Empire of the Lotus series. Here's a little more about the series (which includes my secret word written in bold orange!):

Upon the one hundredth reincarnation of the Lotus empress, the dark god Kashmeru would send out his shadow army — Pishacha — to destroy the reborn empress, which in turn would bring about the collapse of the universe. 

The world changed at the time of the Eradication. The New Asian Administration outlawed mages, forbidding any use of their powers. To protect her imprisoned family, Mayhara Guatama made a deal to surrender her mage status and pledge her life to the New Order. 

Years have passed, the chaos from the upheaval long since settled. Or so Mayhara believed... until she receives a mysterious message from the past.

Mayhara is stunned to learn the empress—also known as the Lotus—has been reincarnated. She’d been kept in hiding to conceal her identity, and now her brother Jae pleads Mayhara for her help. Jae and Mayhara must seek out the other elite mages to stop the enemy and rescue the empress. 

But the enemy—and the government—is already on to their plan, as many of the elite mages are found murdered. With mage powers deemed illegal and a powerful shadow army out to destroy them, the elite mages must band together and carry out their mission under the radar.
