A Slither of Hope is the second book in the Angel Sight series by Lisa M. Basso. If you haven't read the first, and you like angel vs. fallen angel romances with a touch of mystery, I highly recommend you pick up the first book in the series, A Shimmer of Angels!
I read A Shimmer of Angels more than a year ago and have been anxiously anticipating the release of the second book in the series ever since. I have to admit, I enjoyed A Slither of Hope more than the first book. In the first book, the main character, Rayna, was a little too insecure, wishy-washy, and just a tad too clumsy, which became annoying after a while. But in this book, Rayna kicks ass. I really loved her. Gone was the silly clumsiness and insecurity. And though she still struggles with her wishy-washy feelings for Cam and Kade (the two hot angels in her life) it came across so much better in this book.
Speaking of hot angels ... Oh boy, was I happy to see more of Kade in this book! Where Cam is the vanilla, clean-as-the-fallen-snow, heavenly angel who Rayna inexplicably has a crush on in book 1, Kade is the hot-beyond-belief Fallen angel that didn't get enough of a chance. Kade gets his chance in this book and, let me tell you, the chemistry between Rayna and Kade sizzles. Many props to Lisa Basso for making me fall for the bad boy. That's not an easy task.
The story ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, so I'm eager to read A Matter of Time to see how the author wraps this series up.
